     Community Service

    • Gas Lamp has contributed to major improvements to the Ridgewood Avenue School Auditorium: Over the years, Gas Lamp has donated over $10,000 worth of theatrical lighting and curtains to the renovation of the the auditorium;
    • Support for the Home & Schools: In 2007-2008, Gas Lamp became a costume lending library to our Home & School Associations, donating the use of costumes and props to enhance: The Linden Avenue School Spring Fling, Forest Avenue School’s Celebration of Dr. Seuss, the Forest Avenue Winter Carnival, RAS Global Expo, Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?, and Earth Day festivities;
    • Support for the High School and RAS Drama Clubs: Gas Lamp fully costumed the RAS Drama Club’s production of “Alice in Wonderland” and donated the use of costumes to the GRHS Drama Club’s productions of “Pippin,” and “The Adventures of Inspector Hound;”
    • Support for the Glen Ridge Girls’ Club and High School Fashion Club: Gas Lamp worked closely with the Girls’ Club on clothing drives for “Dress for Success.”  We advised and outfitted the HS Fashion Club on their 2008 Fashion Show, Fashion Through the Decades, chronicling clothing trends from the 1920s to the present.  We continue to provide students with a safe environment for community service;
    • Collaborations with other Not-For-Profits:  Collaborated with the New Jersey Arts Collective to produce an evening of music, theater and fine dining featuring costumes from the Roaring 20s, and a new theatrical work by local author Raphael Badagliacca.
